What do your wedding cakes cost?

Each cake is a work of art, and is created just for you. Cake prices will vary based on flavor(s) and filling(s), number of servings, and design or details. A consultation and tasting will determine the cost of your cake and we can work with any budget. Typically wedding cakes range from $3.50-$5.50 per serving but can go up according to complexity and style. 

How do I reserve our wedding date?

In order to reserve your date, a NON-REFUNDABLE Booking Retainer Fee of $100, is due upon booking and will be applied towards your 50% deposit. 

When is my wedding cake payment due?

Upon receipt of your retainer payment, we will email you a complete invoice showing your order details, your total, and the retainer payment made. 


To guarantee your order, a deposit of 50% of Wedding order total minus the $100 non-refundable retainer is due at least 120 days prior to wedding date (INVOICE DATE), or within 24 hours of invoice receipt if less than 120 days with the balance to be paid in full 60 DAYS prior to wedding date (DUE DATE). 


A late payment fee of $50 will be added to the amount due 117 days prior to wedding date for any order without deposit  payment.

A late payment fee of 20% of the total will be added to all orders not paid in full 59 days prior to wedding date.

-WEDDING ORDERS NOT PAID IN FULL 55 DAYS PRIOR TO WEDDING DATE WILL BE CANCELLED 

AND ALL MONIES PAID WILL BE FORFEITED AS WE HAVE RESERVED THIS DATE FOR YOUR EVENT AND PURCHASED ALL NECESSARY MATERIALS AT THAT POINT.


By paying deposit on your Wedding Day order, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of the wedding invoice, and enter into a contract with How Sweet It Is Cake Studio & Dessert Shop to make full payment for services listed therein. How Sweet It Is Cake Studio & Dessert Shop agrees to provide services as listed on the invoice and/or contract. Any and all changes must be made in writing to howsweetkitchen@gmail.com and acknowledged by How Sweet It Is Cake Studio & Dessert Shop.

What is your wedding cancellation policy?

  • Wedding orders cancelled within 30 days of wedding date forfeit any payment made as the date is closed out for your order and other orders will be taken only on a limited basis for your day. 
  • Wedding orders cancelled 31-60 days prior to wedding date will receive refund of payments made MINUS 20% of your order total and non-refundable $100 Booking Retainer to cover expenses made in preparation of your order. 
  • Wedding orders cancelled 61-90 days prior to wedding date will receive refund of payments made MINUS 10% of your order total and non-refundable $100 Booking Retainer to cover expenses made in preparation of your order. 
  • Wedding orders cancelled 91 days or more prior to wedding date will receive a full refund of any monies paid excluding the non-refundable Booking Retainer. 

Refunds will be processed via PayPal or matching method of payment upon confirmed receipt of written notice of cancellation from customer. Please note PayPal can take 3-5 business days to post to your PayPal account. 

Can I have my cake outside or by a window?

Because we use real cream in our frosting, direct sunlight (including placement in front of a window) and/or temperatures above 74 degrees can have drastic adverse effects on your cake. We do not recommend having it outdoors or in front of a window for any amount of time, however we will address your needs and provide advice accordingly. Some cakes can be delivered cold and sit out long enough to make the ceremony and cutting time. , You agree to follow Care & Handling instructions and assume responsibility for any adverse effects from not doing so.


Can I pick up my cake?

If you choose to pick up your order, you assume full responsibility for ALL items upon receipt. Upon acceptance of the item(s) in your order, YOU, the customer, agree to hold harmless How Sweet It Is Cake Studio & Dessert Shop for any damage(s) incurred to product upon acceptance as we no longer control the handling of the item(s). Please refer to your contract for additional Handling & Care instructions and requirements.
