Each cake is a work of art, and is created just for you. Cake prices will vary based on flavor and filling(s), size, and design or level of intricacy or details. Typically our custom cakes start from $6.00 per serving but can go up according to complexity and style. We have a minimum order of $75 for custom cakes and 2 dozen for cupcakes. We also offer a free mini smash cake with all first birthday orders of $99 or more! Please note Free smash cakes will have minimal decorations in coordinating colors, bakers choice - no exceptions.

All cake orders are taken on a first come with retainer, first served basis. Our calendar typically fills up 2 to 4 weeks in advance for weekends. Weekdays are a bit more open. However, please be aware there are times of the year when we are extra busy for wedding seasons, graduations and holidays and we book weekends up to 6 weeks out. That being said please contact us as soon as you know your needed date. Please see our ordering policy below for rush fee information.

We receive multiple inquiries daily for cakes. We advise each customer this is NOT a guarantee of availability. The only way to guarantee your date will be available for you is to pay  the 50% non-refundable retainer.  

Your retainer payment should be made WITHIN 24 hours OF RECEIPT OF INVOICE, with the balance due on or before the DUE DATE. The retainer will guarantee your order. Any invoices which are sent and a retainer is not received will be cancelled and the slot will be open to the next inquirer.

If you place an order more than 2 weeks in advance, the retainer required is 50% of your total including tax. The balance will be due on or before pickup/delivery. Retainers are NON-REFUNDABLE as we close the slot availability once a retainer is paid and turn away orders once all slots are full.

If your are placing an order with less than two weeks notice, you will be required to pay the balance in full.

By paying your retainer, you also agree that if your order has not been picked up within 12 hours of your scheduled time, and no other arrangement has been made by you in writing for pickup, and confirmed by us, that How Sweet It Is Cake Studio & Dessert Shop reserves the right to sell your order to the first available buyer. You also are agreeing that your retainer and or payments received by You, the ordering customer and/or the purchasing customer if any, WILL NOT be refunded and  credit cannot be applied towards a future order. Exceptions to this policy for extenuating circumstances MAY be made at the sole discretion of How Sweet It Is Cake Studio & Dessert Shop.

Yes, within certain time frames your order can be delivered within city limits for an additional small charge ranging starting at $10. Additional charge will apply for larger cakes and or cakes requiring partial or full on site assembly.  

Upon acceptance of the item(s) in your order, YOU, the customer, agree to hold harmless How Sweet It Is Cakes Studio & Dessert Shop for any damage(s) incurred to product by you, your venue, or another in your party once accepted, as we no longer control the handling of the item(s). You understand that if we are unable to deliver your order due to negligence or improper planning by you, your venue, or your party, such as but not limited to: venue being closed, receiver being late and not notifying us, responsible recipient being unavailable, or location not being prepared; we will contact you or your designated party for advisement. However we reserve the right to leave with your order if 30 minutes have passed from the scheduled delivery window and have other delivery obligations to meet and no other arrangement for leaving your order is made. Your order would then be delivered after other delivery appointments have been completed. 

If you choose to pick up your order, you assume full responsibility for ALL items upon receipt. Upon acceptance of the item(s) in your order, YOU, the customer, agree to hold harmless How Sweet It Is Cakes Studio & Dessert Shop for any damage(s) incurred to product upon acceptance as we no longer control the handling of the item(s). 

Pickup times are scheduled during normal business hours or by appointment if needed outside of those hours. We will set up a convenient time for you. Pickup times are by appointment & set up around bakery's scheduled appointments & deliveries. Please notify us immediately if you will not arrive within 15 minutes of your scheduled pickup time. 

How Sweet It Is Cake Studio & Dessert Shop reserves the right to leave pickup premises to meet delivery schedule obligations if you have not arrived, & have not contacted us to make other arrangements to pick up your cake at your scheduled &/or agreed upon time.

We accept Cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Cashier's Checks, Personal Checks (only if event is 30 or more days away), Google Pay, Apple Pay, Android Pay and PayPal.

We do not accept EBT.

We offer Gluten Free and Dairy Free cakes in limited flavors. Unfortunately, we do not make sugar free cakes at this time.

We do bake eggless cakes; however Vegan cakes are not currently available.

We appreciate our service families and are proud to offer 10% off of cake orders to active duty military with ID as well as educators. We also offer discounts to non-profit organizations on a case by case basis.

If you'd like to place a custom cake order, you may do so in person, via online form (click banner at top of our page) or via Facebook message on our business page. We do not accept phone orders.

To process your order, we will need a billing name, cell phone number & an email address to send the invoice to. We will email you an invoice with a link for payment. If you are ordering at the studio, we will process and email you a digital copy on site and provide a printed copy upon request.  

Please be advised, because our calendar fills up for weekends anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks in advance, no cake orders are placed on the calendar without a retainer.  If you are ordering more than 2 weeks out, you can pay a 50% retainer to reserve your date. The balance for the cake can be paid on or before the pickup/delivery. The retainer is non-refundable, the balance is refundable within our cancellation policy terms on invoice. 

Orders placed with less than 2 weeks notice if accepted, will require payment in full at time of order and will incur a rush fee.

Please note retainer payment must be received within 24 hours of receipt of invoice to guarantee your order. If retainer is not received, the invoice and order will be cancelled. 

Payments can be made via the link on your invoice or in person at the studio. We do not accept phone payments, money orders or personal checks. 

Cancel within 5 days of due date NO REFUND will be given (i.e. Monday notice for a Saturday order)

Cancel 6 or more days before due date, your 50% booking retainer will NOT be refunded, but any additional amount paid will be refunded. Credit for retainer is not transferrable to another party/person, but if available, may be transferred to a new date.

COVID-19 and State of Emergency:

In the event of a nation-wide or "state of emergency," that causes events to be cancelled or postponed by you or your event planner, we will allow one reschedule within 6 months of the event date & based on our calendar availability. Any date over 6 months from original date will incur 20% surcharge if available, and each rescheduling will incur a $25 administrative fee. No refunds are allowed; however, you will not have to pay a new retainer. There is no additional fees except as listed above unless you desire to upgrade or increase the original products paid for.

Cake Pickup and Appointment Times:

Pickup times are by appointment & set up around bakery's scheduled appointments & deliveries. Please be advised that if you cannot meet your scheduled pick up time, you may have to wait for How Sweet It Is Cake Studio & Dessert Shop to return from a delivery or other appointment to pick up your order. Please notify How Sweet It Is Cake Studio & Dessert Shop immediately if you will not arrive within your scheduled pickup window. 

• How Sweet It Is Cake Studio & Dessert Shop reserves the right to leave pickup premises to meet delivery schedule obligations if you have not arrived, & have not contacted us to make other arrangements to pick up your cake at your scheduled &/or agreed upon time.
• If your order has not been picked up within 12 hours of your scheduled pickup time, & no other arrangement has been made by you in writing for pickup, How Sweet It Is Cake Studio & Dessert Shop reserves the right to sell your order to the first available buyer. Your retainer & or any payments made on your order, if any, WILL NOT be refunded & cannot be applied or credited to future purchase.      

Order Completion:

• If you choose to pick up your order, you assume full responsibility for ALL items upon receipt. Upon acceptance of the item(s) in your order, YOU, the customer, agree to hold harmless How Sweet It Is Cake Studio & Dessert Shop for any damage(s) incurred to product upon acceptance as we no longer control the handling of the item(s). Any damage done my moving a cake or mishandling it, is the responsibility of the receiving party. Please note that direct sunlight & or temperatures of 74 degrees or higher may have drastic & adverse and possibly irreparable effects on any cake. 
• If How Sweet It Is Cake Studio & Dessert Shop delivers your order, you understand that once we have set up the cake, or once you, or your representative have received it, a signature will be required as confirmation of receipt and we are no longer responsible for the cake. 
• Upon acceptance of your order via pickup or signature for delivery, you also agree that you are satisfied with the appearance/esthetics of your order. Disclaimer - Colors & design of actual cake may vary slightly from computer images due to the nature of digital & edible components.

In the rare case of an emergency or an error in your cake delivery, please contact us immediately so we may attempt to fix the issue immediately! 

ALL SALES ARE FINAL AND NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED. A STORE CREDIT MAY BE ISSUED AT THE SOLE DISCRETION OF How Sweet It Is Cake Studio & Dessert Shop upon return of product as stated below. 

We are dedicated to satisfying our client’s cake needs, but in the rare case that you are unhappy with your cake for any reason, please notify us the day of your event & explain the situation. You must call the day of your event & YOUR CAKE MUST BE RETURNED WITHIN 12 HOURS. Without proof that you are indeed unhappy with the product & will not be using it for your event, we will be unable to credit any portion of your payment, which we may choose to do at our discretion.
